Welcome to the Thunderbird Throwdown Peewee Tournament Registration Page!
Thunderbird Youth Hockey is proud to host the annual Thunderbird Throwdown Peewee Tournament. Since its inaugural event in 2023, the Thunderbird Throwdown has provided teams with a fun, competitive, and memorable hockey experience while fostering sportsmanship and player development.
The Thunderbird Throwdown is a B/C-level WAHA sanctioned tournament hosted by a Baraboo/Portage Division 3A team and is designed to offer balanced competition for participating teams. To help ensure appropriate placement and the best experience for all teams, please refer to MyHockey Rankings when determining which division to register for.
Registration is team-based; individual player registrations will not be accepted.

Tournament Details
Each division will consist of 6 teams, divided into two pools of 3 teams each. During pool play, teams will compete against the other teams within their pool to determine seeding for the playoff round.
Following pool play, all teams will advance to a bracket-style playoff, with seeding based on pool play results. Teams will then compete in single-elimination playoff games to determine the tournament champion.
Format Overview:
- 6 teams per division
- 2 pools of 3 teams
- Round-robin pool play within each pool
- All teams advance to bracket play
- Single-elimination playoff rounds
- Championship game to determine the tournament winner
Round Robin / Pool Play Points:
- Win = 2 points
- Tie = 1 point
- Loss = 0 points
