Welcome to the Battle for the Biscuit Squirt Tournament Registration Page!
Thunderbird Youth Hockey is proud to host the annual Battle for the Biscuit Squirt Tournament. First held in 2024, this tournament has quickly become a favorite event, bringing together teams for a weekend of competitive hockey, sportsmanship, and fun.
The Battle for the Biscuit is a B/C-level tournament hosted by a Baraboo/Portage Division 3A team and is designed to provide balanced, competitive play for participating teams. To ensure the best experience for all teams, please refer to MyHockey Rankings when determining the appropriate division for registration.
Registration is team-based; individual player registrations will not be accepted.

Tournament Details
Each division will consist of 6 teams, divided into two pools of 3 teams each. During pool play, teams will compete against the other teams within their pool to determine seeding for the playoff round.
Following pool play, all teams will advance to a bracket-style playoff, with seeding based on pool play results. Teams will then compete in single-elimination playoff games to determine the tournament champion.
Format Overview:
- 6 teams per division
- 2 pools of 3 teams
- Round-robin pool play within each pool
- All teams advance to bracket play
- Single-elimination playoff rounds
- Championship game to determine the tournament winner
Round Robin / Pool Play Points:
- Win = 2 points
- Tie = 1 point
- Loss = 0 points
