Thunderbird Youth Hockey is excited to introduce a new fundraising initiative that helps families save on registration fees while raising money for our Association. 

Through the RaiseRight/Scrip program, families can earn funds back on everyday purchases at minimal cost. These earnings not only reduce registration expenses but also provide important support for the Association’s needs throughout the year. 

RaiseRight allows families to raise money in two ways:

  • Directly for personal family expenses (registration fees)
  • For the Association to cover hockey-related costs (equipment, sound system, tournament fees, and more)

Key Dates & Program Details


Introductory Period

Monday, November 24 – Monday, December 1

  • 100% of the total rebate earned will be placed into your family’s account.
  • Funds will be applied toward TYH registration for the 2026–2027 season.


Fundraising Campaign

December 2 – June 30

  • 50% of the total rebate will go into your family’s account for the 2026–2027 registration.
  • The remaining 50% will support the Association’s hockey-related expenses.


Discount Codes

On July 30th, families will receive discount codes with the corresponding dollar amounts earned. These codes can be applied directly to offset registration fees for the 2026–2027 season. Dollar amounts will be rounded to the nearest whole number. 

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • Can I cash out my rebates? No. Rebates are only valid for use at Thunderbird Youth Hockey.
  • What if my balance is more than I owe? Any unused balances can be applied toward future years.

Requirements

TYH has mandatory fundraising for teams Mite through Bantams to help keep registration fees low. The fundraiser is per family. More information regarding each fundraising option will be available at in person registration and the team meeting. TYH has two options when it comes to the fundraiser:

  • Calendar fundraiser - must sell $200 worth. Money is returned with sold calendar stubs. 
  • Fundraiser buyout for $200 (receive no goods in return). A check can be mailed to TYH. Please note “FUNDRAISER” in the memo line.

TYH also hosts many additional fundraising opportunities throughout the year, such as brat stands, fair booths, parades, car shows, and fun runs. These are not required fundraisers but all help is welcome and some hours may apply to volunteer hours.
